Italian police say Amazon has evaded 130 million euros of taxes

Milan assess police have disclosed to Amazon they trusts the world's biggest online retailer has sidestepped around 130 million euros ($142 million) of expenses in Italy, a source near the matter said on Friday. 

The supposedly unpaid assessments allude to the period in the vicinity of 2011 and 2015, when Amazon (AMZN.O) made incomes of around 2.5 billion euros in Italy, the source said. 

The assessment police's discoveries have been given to Milan prosecutors, the source included. 

Amazon issued an announcement denying it had avoided any duties, and said its benefits in Italy, on which assessments are paid, had been low because of its extensive interests in the nation.
